Nowadays, you may have heard about hormonal balance and its importance for energy levels, skin, emotional balance, and weight loss. The most common symptoms of a hormonal imbalance are: feeling tired, infrequent periods, inability to concentrate, dizziness, decreased tolerance for stress, feeling depressed or anxious, bloating in the abdomen, migraines, dry skin, and low sexual drive.
Here are some tips and tricks related to nutrition and lifestyle that you may apply to improve your hormonal health:
- Include healthy fats and protein in every meal, such as macadamia nut or almond butter, ghee, olive oil, chicken breast, eggs, toffu, and many more.
- Incorporate anti-inflammatory foods such as cumin, golden milk, avocado, spinach, blueberries, and fish.
- Swap caffeine for homonal balancing teas such as moon tea, golden milk, and shuawghada.
- Incorporate low-intensity exercise such as walks, yoga, and pilates.
- Hydrate every day—at least 2 liters.
- Sleep at least 7 hours per day.
- Take some sun in the morning, before 10 a.m.
