From kombucha brews, a new business concept bubbled up.

Marco Barbi left a successful business in Spain in 2008 because it wasn't in harmony with his newfound spiritual path. He wanted to align his new values with his professional life and give back to the community in a positive way. After moving to Guatemala, he had that opportunity.

He started brewing Kombucha at home for his family. Soon he had enough to share with his friends. With their positive reception and encouragement, he decided to develop the recipes and packaging to produce kombucha commercially in 2014. As its popularity grew in Antigua Guatemala, Marco expanded to Guatemala City, hiring two people and obtaining all the necessary licenses and product registrations to expand the Yogi Super Foods catalog.

It was at that moment that Marco realized it wasn't enough to just offer superfoods. He wanted to do more for his customers, so he decided to add motivational messages to the packaging.

This was the birth of The Happy Soul Project, which has since grown to include books, videos, podcasts, meditations, and courses.

In November 2016, Yogi Super Foods won Guatemala's prestigious National Social Entrepreneurship Award for our valuable contribution of healthy foods that improve the overall physical health and mental well-being of people in Guatemala.

Today, Yogi Super Foods is sold in all major supermarkets in Guatemala and is also available for international purchase.
